Book Review: “Elogio dell’imperfezione”

This book finally gave me the opportunity to know the main reason for Rita Levi Montalcini’s scientific fame. The story of the discovery of NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) is fascinating and is inextricably intertwined with the author’s personal story. Perhaps a striking trait of Rita Levi Montalcini is her stubbornness and her tireless commitment. On the sidelines, worthy of note, is her ability to write very clear and at the same time accurate and worthy of those who make writing a profession. With pleasure I also discovered that Rita had a twin sister, Paola, to whom she was very close and who was a great artist on the Italian scene, even appreciated by de Chirico.
